All companies that are interest in joining FMSI must fill out an application form and pay the first years dues with submission of the application. They also must commit to adhering to the FMSI Constitution.

For companies that are interested in becoming full manufacturing members, they also must pay an initiation fee. This fee recognizes the past contribution of all FMSI members and is used for legal defense of FMSIs intellectual property.
